Starting September 2, ITS will implement a new policy to help reduce the number of inactive SharePoint sites, which pose potential security risks. Microsoft will monitor activity across connected platforms like Teams and Exchange to identify inactive sites. If a site shows no activity for six months, owners will receive notifications to confirm its status. Unconfirmed sites may become read-only and eventually be deleted. Please encourage your colleagues to respond to these messages if their sites are still in use.
