Canva for Teams is now available to departments in Student Life & Enrollment. Canva is a cloud-based graphic design tool used to create on-brand digital marketing content, presentations, videos and more. Staff and students can join our Canva service to take advantage of premium features at no cost to departments. Billing and access to this shared resource will be managed by IT-SLE.
Who should have access to this service?
- Individual staff and students in the Division of Student Life & Enrollment with a valid UConn email address. (Students must use a UConn student worker email account)
- Staff or student positions in communications, marketing, design and public relations.
- Staff or student positions with a need to produce social media, graphics, slides and other visual aids on a regular basis.
- The use of shared mailboxes to access Canva for Teams is not allowed per the University's System and Application Security Policy.
What if you already pay for Canva?
- IT-SLE will work with departments to transition billing to our PO and provide instructions on how to receive refunds on any unused time on existing contracts.
How many licenses or "seats" can my department have?
- At this time, departments can have up to 15 licenses for users that meet the access criteria above.
- Number of available licenses per department will be reevaluated at contract renewal in Fall 2024, with consideration toward Canva usage data, staff changes, and budget analysis.
Requests for access or questions about billing can be sent to Evelyn Lang in IT-SLE. evelyn.lang@uconn.edu
